Fund The Planet is a Germany-based conservation initiative active in the Peruvian Amazon. We purchase legally protected rainforest areas and transform them into a public nature reserve that may not be sold, logged, or built on. Every square meter we protect remains wild and untouched. Our community members become founders of this growing nature reserve. They track the areas they protect online and become part of a global community committed to restoring the balance between people and nature.

Our unique approach

Fund The Planet was born from a trio of friends and co-founders who witnessed first-hand the stark contrasts of beauty and devastation during an expedition into the heart of the Amazon. By offering them alternative sources of income, we empower them to manage their land. But supporting rainforest landowners wasn't enough. We wanted to use technology to create a global movement.

How do you protect the area on the ground, for example against illegal logging?

We are the legal owners of the land and secure it together with local communities, through patrols and AI-supported monitoring. That keeps the protection binding for the long term.

Who owns the protected land?

Fund The Planet, operated by Munich-based Green Token GmbH, acquired the land in a legally secure purchase and places your area under protection. Your area is assigned to you and visible in the Explorer.
