Your chance to experience the rainforest up close

We want to offer you the opportunity to share a unique experience in the Amazon while supporting the conservation of this precious habitat. Since we can only offer a limited number of places on this expedition, it's a small, special adventure. Here are all the important details:

  • Start and end date : The expedition starts on June 16th and ends on June 26th (10 days).
  • Destination : Our Amazon nature reserve and the communities of Sarayaku and Orellana.
  • Starting and ending point : Lima Airport, the capital of Peru. We'll take care of everything else.
  • Cost coverage : We cover all expedition costs from departure to arrival in Lima. This corresponds to €2,400 for transportation (domestic flights, boat trips, etc.), accommodations, meals, and necessary equipment.
  • Organization : Fund The Planet organizes the entire expedition and accompanies you on-site. Rene and Andre will be by your side from start to finish, and other Fund The Planet team members will join you along the way. Some of our supporters will also be joining you.
  • Challenges : Physically demanding (heat, hikes), ideal for nature-loving adventurers.
  • Safety : Despite potential dangers from animals and plants, we ensure your safety with experienced guides and good preparation.

itinerary

The adventure begins in Lima at Jorge Chávez International Airport. From there, we fly to Pucallpa and charter a smaller plane to Contamana.

The next day, we set off by boat on the Ucayali River toward Orellana. We'll spend most of the nights in this thriving rainforest town.

The rainforest community of Sarayaku is located 30 minutes upstream and the rainforest can then be quickly reached by motorbike.

We will take day trips into the impressive nature, experience local life and spend one or two nights in our rainforest!
